using this Leica adapter + Leica to Nikon F mount you finally can.
#Solidworks 2017 backwards compatibility manual
To put it in a funny (but not funny) way, there's a third party manual Leica lens adapter that turns them into AF capable glass- can you see where this is going? If you want AF support on your AF and AF-D glass. I just want to finally have one mount! I hate splitting my gear into different systems. well betraying things to see a company do. What Nikon is doing is ignoring the big elephant in the room that gets more painfully obvious as the months roll by- radio silence on creating a "FTZd" ( super early AF lenses just had AF tacked on, but later on the majority of their excellent late SLR/and early DSLR lenses used AF- D moniker) adapter. (offtopic) Ah as Nikon is my main DSLR, I have to chime, there is some big hurt among those who use screw drive drive lens. Having very good lens adapters helps, as well as a perceived improvement with the new mirrorless glass.

I think it is ‘nice’ that the K-30 can use both lenses that significantly predate it and lenses that came after it.ĬaNikon users don't seem to consider themselves being kicked to the curb with the new MILC mounts. I’m not sure how you determine “compatibility” I have used my DA 55-300mm PLM lens with the K-30 also it is ‘wide-open’ always in that usage, but the K-30 body can focus with it. I now have 28mm, 35mm, and 50mm Takumar lenses, which I use with my K-30, since that body has lost its ability to control the aperture for ‘modern’ lenses. For me it is too early to abandon compatibility as there are not enough KAF4 lenses, but I do not consider such a move bad one from my, as customer, PoV.I may be considered another ‘IT engineer’ - but I do see value in the old lenses. Heck, I had FF lens only cause at the moment it was cheaper to get Sigma then 20-40 Ltd. I never had old Pentax lenses and do not see any value in them. Also I joined Pentax when MILC where already winning the race toward popularity. Perhaps I have a bit twisted view because I am an IT engineer and like new stuff, I am also relatively young among Pentax users.

It will not be pleasingly looking and I doubt people would buy such lenses plus it would go against Pentax principle of making photography enjoyable, but doable it is.įor how long there will be long time customers and will their "legacy" pass on to new generation? Same build, same ring for focal length, anything the same. Imagine all lenses from wide to short tele being exactly same looking, just some having additional piece of plastic to make them longer. I think it is more a case of such universal lens design being simply ugly and, well, universal. Well, you can reuse a lots of mechanisms from inside and outside, glass is only element that is unique.
